Recreation comes in many forms. If you go to the beach you can read a book, take a nap, body surf or swim a mile. All these can help to recharge your batteries refresh your outlook and reconnect you with your soul.
Re-creating is about balance and revitalizing yourself. It is one thing to know what you love and what re-energize’s you and it is another thing to incorporate it into your life on a daily basis. “He not busy being born is busy dying.” Troubadour and spokesperson for the 1960’s Bob Dylan sang in his song “It’s Alright Ma (I am Only Bleeding)”.
If you have recreation built into your schedule already, celebrate and recommit. If not get busy being born. Make recreation a priority. No one else can do it for you.

So Sing, Draw, Dance, Walk, Cook, play with your pets, your kids and your spouse. Invent, express, make music and travel. Do it for fun and as a preventative so you don’t unravel.
Do a puzzle, laugh out loud, ride your bike or play hide and seek in a crowd.
Recreation with a purpose is important for life balance. Recharging your batteries, connecting you with your passion and helping you to bring more of the good stuff that is in you out into the world is a great goal for recreation.
